I'm sure it doesn't help me saying this but you have to prioritize the things
in your life, HPV is a part of all our lives but I put it to the back of my
mind. I am not having constant treatment like you, but have had treatment and
we all live with the consequences of this disease everyday but I have asthma
too and I don't let that get in my way! I could get run over by a bus tomorrow,
it's just the way life is!! It's not what we have to deal with in life that
shapes us as people but the way we deal with it. You sound like a fighter, we
are all here to support each other and to encourage and keep our spirits up! So
that is what we all will do! We are all special people, we are strong as a
result of our exeriences and the hurdles we have faced and yes there are ups
and downs, i tend to have spectacular downs and even better ups! I know it
sounds stupid and childish but i ALWAYS find shopping helps(hahaha), you know
if my ex fiancee wanted to cheat fine, whatever, but I'm still gonna look and
feel fab and make him realise what a loser he is, especially as he gave me a
disease, but I don't care I am absolutely not going to feel bad because I would
only be letting myself down! Again another thing that could sound silly, but
there are a lot of people out there who are in a much worse state than we are.
A friend of mine, her father has bone marrow cancer, he's just had a
transplant. From what you said I guess you have children already, you are very
lucky, I had a miscarriage possibly caused by HPV who knows, its just the way
things go if it was meant to be it would have been. I had ME for 10 years, it
was shit but i look back on it and realise that an awful lot of good has come
out of it, it has shaped me into the person I am, this is what this experience
will do to you. You just have to give it time, and keep talking to us on here
get your feelings out, keep going to your therapist. Unfortunately there is no
magic cure, you have to have patience which i have very little of, and one day
soon you will start feeling better I promise! Keep your chin up. am a nurse
who works in the field, so maybe this will help.
Pap smears
test can find abnormal cells caused by human papilloma virus before they can turn into cancer. Cervical cancer can be treated when found early and is curable. |
