![]() Hello All, I just found out the other day I have HPV. I was just wondering is there any possible way for this to go away? I was told if you stay abstaince for 2 years it will go away, to me it doesnt sound possible? I also have warts and I was wondering the best way to get rid of them without dr. treatment because I have no insurance at all. My local health department told me I was infected with HPV. I was just wondering if someone could post a little info on the warts with hpv...and how do they test men with HPV? Do they show any symptoms at all? Thanks a bunch if anyone could help. It is encouraging to read your e-mail though asking for general info instead of you freaking out. I wish I could have been so calm about it. I am not sure about the medical evidence but I have heard that in time HPV will be cleared out by your immune system. I beleive that it is true.. but there are some that object to it and call it a theory.. I guess it depends on how you feel about the medical community. I think the best way to get rid of warts is the Aldara cream. If you do not have medical coverage I would reccommend going to your local planned parenthood or sexual health clinic. Most of those places offer assistance if you cannot afford it on your own. As for HPV testing in men, as far as I know its not possible. The best way to test men is to have their genitals examined by a dermatologist for warts, i beleive those are the only symptoms they show. Screening for actual HPV virus has not been made for them yet. hope my info was somewhat helpful fo ryou. While I haven't been formally diagnosed, I have a strong suspicion that I may have genital warts associated with HPV. Visible symptoms have always been very minor - never more than one or two barely visible warts at a time. I understand it's fairly common for these warts to disappear on their own. Is there ever a time during which HPV is noncommunicable?
