Warts to be removed

Picture of genital warts at an early stage. Small warts can be seen on valvular lips of this female patient.

Personally, I believe that HPV is not contagious ALL of the time. This is different from what many of us hear, either from our doctors or from information on the internet. Of course, there is no way to guarantee that assumption 100% and no 100% guarantee that we are contagious at all times. Really, what I heard from my doctor and what other friends have heard from their doctors is that when symptoms do not exist, that transmission of the virus is very, very slim; makes sense when you think about it. Symptoms are EXTERIOR, therefore they are easliy transmitted, whereas when the warts are not present, there is very litte or no viral shedding. I have the strain that causes warts, so when the virus is active, warts are the only thing produced by the virus. When warts are gone, then the virus is dormant, being held below the surface of our skin. Because this virus can return at any time, we use precaution and tell partners that they have a chance of catching it, even if those chances are tiny. Some people never have the warts again after the initial outbreak and this is another mystery about HPV genital warts. Does the virus ever die? That question is not yet answered because viruses are tricky, they morph and hide. Someday, researchers will find the answer to these questions and I do think that they will find that the virus diminishes after a period of time in a persons body. Until then, we must all protect ourselves and others from STIs, even if that means we have to tell someone about "the warts we once had". Sex will always be a part of your lives, so don't worry about not getting any. All the HPV victims I
know, including myself, still get laid a plenty!

Four months is well with in standard medical care. Each doctor had different guideline.

I am not sure what you saw posted on another HPV group. There are studies that do link HPV and Bacterial Vaginosis. Has a doctor taken a culture and identified your infection as yeast? Is there discharge or just the itch. A clear discharge and itch can be caused by HPV.
