I will answer your questions as best I can. Bear in mind I am a guy and am
giving second hand knowledge from my g/f. 1) Genital wart outbreaks are not the
same as Dysplasia. You may have two strains of HPV which is not unusual but
they are not interrelated. I understand that it would require Dysplasia to
bring about an abnormal Pap but an outbreak of external warts would not
necessarily cause an abnormal result. 2) I have never heard or read anything
associating an internal pain with HPV other than treatments. 3) My g/f and I
have not tried either of those so no help there...sorry. 4) This is THE
QUESTION! No one seems to know. In my personal experience I must have been a
carrier for almost 11 years before I passed it on to my g/f. My Ex-wife never
contracted it during those 11 years and I have never had a symptom. I have not
used any protection in the 8 months I have been with my g/f yet she has a bad
bad outbreak and I have no symptoms at all. It would appear, though not for
sure, that I am a carrier and I contracted it more then 11 years ago and still
passed it on. The good news is that there is a vaccine in the works due out at
the end of this year so dating will become a lot easier soon. Wish I could be
more helpful. Try and remember though..its not aids! This is a medium skin
condition which very very rarely turns into cervical cancer. Keep up with your
Paps but don't dwell on them. Good heath and low stress is the key to managing
this. do u still not see what i am sayin about the moral responsibilities that ANYONE who gets an hpv infection must assume? some people may clear and never look back. lucky fucks, i sure am not one. but also the virus may lie dormant for any amount of time(still quite infectious) or may just keep poppin up as it happens to. regardless of what stage u believe u r at, the original message people were trying to make clear to u is that YOU DONT KNOW. the virus is undetectably low at some levels, but still infectious. some who dont have symptoms may not know they have it and still spread it. it can lay dormant(still infectious) for years! for men there isnt even Any type of testing to be done. so if u dont know for sure that u will not be spreading hpv, then u have no right having sex without informing ur partner. its their life, not yours, and there is a slight Go Back to Genital Warts Treatment page.
Never use Over the Counter Treatments to cure genital warts. The genital area is extremely sensitive and over the counter treatments can induce severe reactions.
