I found out almost a month ago I had HPV. Two weeks ago I had my biopsy and it
came back that I have severe cell dysplasia. I don't know what to think. Is it
cancer or is it just cell that are so abnormal it can turn into cancer left
untreated? My doctor said not to lose sleep over this. I have the LEEP
procedure done in two weeks. She said she probably got most the abnormal cells
with the biopsy though. Then I found out that I most likely will not get rid of
the virus like we had discussed. I started taking vitamins and I changed my
diet with the hope to get rid of it, but not my chances are slim to none.
Anyone with Severe Dysplasia, please let me know what this means. Anyone
wanna help me explain this, because I don't know that I can accuratly explain
it, and I don't want to give the wrong info. From what I understand if you have
HPV you have dysplasia, it's how severe it is that determines what stage the
HPV is in. I have mild dysp. which means I'm not at immediate risk of it
turning into cancer......how ever people who have the more severe forms of dysp.
(moderate and I can't remember the other) are at greater risk for the cells
being per-cancerous or cancerous. Go back to Genital Warts and Pregnancy page.
There is a chance of transmitting the genital warts virus to the baby during delivery. |
