You have an interesting ordeal here and very unusual for most HPV cases. I am
certainly no certified doctor, but my father was a general surgeon for over
twenty years and just being around him for so long, I have a good understanding
of medical conditions. My father himself has even had a bit of experience
burning off patients' genital warts. So anyways, I honestly don't believe that
HPV can incubate for 17 years and just suddenly make an appearance. I know that
HPV can incubate for over a one to three year period in some people, but I have
never heard of it taking up to five, ten, or even 15 years. I guess it is a
possibility that you had it all this time and your immune system just repressed
it so well that it stayed dormant, but 17 years? I don't think that's the deal
here. Now, I don't know you or your husband, so I am not going to lead you on
to making negative conclusions, but you had to have gotten it from either your
husband or an outside source...that's if what you have is genital HPV. If the
tests come back saying that you have HPV, you might want to question your
husband more in depth about his wearabouts and his medical history. I'm not
saying that either one of you has been unfaithful, but I just think it's odd
that you are suddenly now breaking out in wart-like bumps. In more primitive
times, in Japan, HPV was considered a "Woman's disease" because often times men
would bring it home to their wives after visits with the Geishas. Red, please
wait to get your test results back before you make any conclusions, but if they
come back stating HPV, you might want to take what I say into consideration.
and hopefully the bugger isn't a wart.Go back to Genital Warts Photos page.
Condoms can reduce your risk of getting human papilloma virus. But human papilloma virus can be passed
from skin not covered with condom, condoms are helpful but they don't make you
100% safe.
