Wanted to offer some support. Not sure about your last question about immunity,
but I will offer you what I can. I've been dealing with HPV for almost two
years... and the past year has been almost completely symptom free. I went
through a lot, but my case was rare... most people fight it off or have the
aldara work. Your post stuck out to me because of the fear of telling this
girl. It sure sounds like she is completely in love with you. HPV can lead to
cervical cancer, but that is only if untreated... she would have to not only
contract it, but not fight it off with her body's own immune system a good
number of people do this, in fact, the latest estimate i heard is that 3/4 of
the population has been exposed to it), and then not go to regular check ups
with her dr. My point is that it is not a death sentence, and it's not even a
cervical cancer sentence. It can suck, but it is not HIV, it is not cancer, and
many many people deal with it. I understand the fear though, as I've had to
tell people I care about since getting it, so I won't give you the "love will
cure everything" line. I do believe, though, however corny it may sound, that
if you love the girl, and she loves you, it will be fine. My suggestion is
this... tell her, explain it as well as you can without making it seem like
this incredibly scary thing (even though it seems like it) and then invite her
to go to a dr and discuss it. In my experience, the doctors are very reassuring
that this is a tiny nuisance that just means you need to be more sure you get
